New
Shluchim in Mexico
The
Mexican Jewish community warmly greeted Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Meizlich
and his wife Tova, the new shluchim. Rabbi Avrohom Mordechai
Hershberg, their grandfather, had served as Chief Rabbi of Mexico for
twenty-five years.
Rabbi
Meizlich is a talented young man who has accomplished a great deal in hafatzas
ha’maayonos. He has also authored sfarim about Moshiach and
Geula. Despite the fact that he just arrived, he successfully
organized a large farbrengen for Yud Shvat.
Rabbi
Meizlich used this very first public forum to ignite the hearts of the
Jews of the city to hiskashrus to the Rebbe. He explained the
significance of the nasi ha’dor who is connected to every
member of the generation.
Mrs.
Meizlich, who has a great deal of experience in the field of education,
founded the local branch of Agudas N’shei U’Bnos Chabad. Rabbi
Meizlich is preparing to inaugurate a series of Torah classes for the
public, with an emphasis on Geula and Moshiach, in order to
prepare the Jews of Mexico City to greet Moshiach.
