Marking The Yahrtzeit Of The Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, A’h
Many
events around the world marked the 12th yom ha’hilula of
Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, a’h. N’shei and U’Bnos Chabad
worldwide planned many events for the occasion, and informed many women
about the special power women have in bringing the Geula.
The
Shluchos Convention took place in Crown Heights with the participation
of shluchos from around the world. The shluchos discussed
the challenges particular to women in their role as shlucha,
especially in preparing the world to greet Moshiach.
N’shei
U’Bnos Chabad prepared a pamphlet to be learned between Yud Shvat and
Chaf-Beis Shvat, which contained selections from sichos about
Moshiach and Geula, and various topics pertinent to women. Mivtzaim
were also organized for this period.
Farbrengens
and shiurim for women were held throughout that Shabbos, and
special classes were held on Thursday through Sunday in 770. Many women
went to the tziyun of the Rebbetzin.
On
Motzaei Shabbos, N’shei Chabad and the shluchos joined
together for a beautiful program in 770. Bnos Chabad along with Beis
Rivka of Crown Heights prepared a professional production presented on
three nights and attended by thousands of women and girls. The program,
which included signing and dancing, was called Treasures, and it
portrayed ideas from the maamer
“V’ata Tetzaveh,” which was printed in Kuntres
Purim Katan 5752.
The
production included the mesirus nefesh of Mordechai and the Rebbe
Rayatz, and our yearning for the final Redemption. It was so successful
that due to the high demand, an encore performance was added to the
three scheduled performances.
The
annual convention of Lubavitch girls high schools in the U.S. and France
took place, with the theme of “Fifty Years Of The Nesius Of The Rebbe
MH”M.” The girls enjoyed workshops and farbrengens. The
finals of the Moshiach and Geula contest took place. This was
after a representative of each of the schools was selected after passing
three levels. The final winner was Nechama Volovik of Crown Heights.
All the
girls ate together at Beis Rivka on Friday night. On Sunday night, the
main event took place in Beis Rivka’s large hall, with 1,000 girls in
attendance. There was also a program for seminary students. Seminary
graduates, some of whom are teachers and some of whom are shluchos,
held a number of activities for the yahrtzeit, during which they
exchanged ideas for hafatza and heard noted mashpiim and
lecturers. On Sunday night they enjoyed a beautiful banquet.
There
was a special program for a group of bas mitzva girls who came
from Eretz Yisroel from Ateres Chaya in Bnei Brak. In addition, Camp
Chomesh held a reunion on Sunday night for its campers and counselors.
Beis
Chaya Mushka presented their special Moshiach exhibit that they had
displayed for the Yud Shvat Convention, and as before, many guests came
to view the beautiful exhibit. |
